Healthy Meal Time #1

A couple of months ago I decided to go vegan and I was for three weeks or so and in that time I used to cook something that looks like this.

Really easy fusilli pasta with boiled broccoli, spring onion, raw garlic and fresh dill.

Hmm, I cannot even express how delicious it was. I know it sounds too easy and not too fancy, but trust me, it was really good 🙂

I then decided that I cannot stay vegan forever, because I love yogurt and kefir and I know how good it is for me and my health.

I tried many types of kefir, English, Polish, Turkish, but the best in my opinion is still the old Romanian recipe.

It’s thicker, tastes better, fresh and healthy.

And here is a photo to show you that.

I still don’t eat meat, maybe just fish (especially salmon) rarely, like once a month or so and regarding cheese, really rarely and only the light one, like ricotta and mozzarella.

And yes, I feel much better than I did before 🙂

Delicious New Year’s Eve Dinner

The passing of the years caught us having a great dinner and an awesome time.

My dear housemate made a delicious carrot and leek creme soup with a bit of hot chilli and I made crispy croutons drizzled with olive oil, salt, black pepper and seasonal dried herbs and of course the usual baked vegetables crisp and juicy.

Instead of going to see the London Eye Fireworks like I do every year, this time I decided to stay home and I don’t regret one bit, because we had fun in our unique way, with good food, tasty wine and awesome music to dance the night away 🙂

A Different Approach To Avocado

While looking for health stores in London, in November I stumbled across this shop for which I fell in love instantly.

It’s called “Planet Organic”, it’s very close to where I work, located on Westbourne Grove, in the heart of the city.

The place is filled with all sorts of goodies, anything you can think of, from Raw Coconut Oil which is my favourite thing lately from eating to oil pulling and body moisturizer and goes ahead to cosmetic and beauty products.

I went and bought a Rye German Bread and went ahead and made one of my special avocado recipes, simple but so delicious.

It’s really easy, all you need is one or two toasts of good bread, smash and spread the avocado all over it and then sprinkle with salt (I use Pink Himalayan Salt) and crunchy grind pepper.

The original recipe involved some chocolate chips, but I opted for the one without. Maybe in the future will try with.

If you have a thing for nuts and delicious meals, this is for you!

It’s so easy and you will lick your fingers afterwards, trust me.

Here are a few photos that I took.

Enjoy! 🙂
